”When a god wanted to be the only God, all the other gods cracked up so badly that it made them die of laughter.” —Pierre Klossowski, Such a Deathly Desire
We attribute monotheism to cosmogenesis, and the same distance that separates us from that divine act of creation in our past —when projected forwards, into the future— becomes the distance separating us from singularity, signaling an endtimes. Singularity is apocalypse.
So while they seem diametrically opposed, it is only because we are in medias res, between them. It is perfectly feasible for the next stage of humanity to perceive our singularity as their monotheism.
